The key feature is a spring-fed watercourse which flows into two lakes which have adjacent rock features. There is a new formal cottage garden with colour-themed perennials. Spectacular rambling roses line a hota and allium walk. A large area of new-style "prairie" and "steppe" planting was featured in the TV programme "Gardeners' World" in 2001, as well as being described in many magazines including the RHS journal, The Garden, and in the Christmas 2002 issue of Gardens Illustrated. Lady Farm was voted by the public one of the top ten gardens in the UK in August 2002. History: The removal of 3 acres of farm buildings in 1990-1991 necessitated some serious landscaping which was undertaken by the owners, Malcolm and Judy Pearce. The chance discovery of the source of the main spring water enabled the lakes and water features to be formed. Anthony Archer-Wills created the rock features and cave and Mary Payne was inspirational in the grasses and "prairie" plantings.
