Designer: Alan Bloom Description of Garden: Strictly, The Dell applies to only one part of the total garden area of about six acres. Long ago this was where clay was dug for brick making. Now it makes for grassy slopes with mature trees as an added attraction. The whole area lies between the Hall (built 1760) and the A1066. It is laid out with wide grass paths and free form 'Island' beds containing about 5,000 species and Hardy Perennials, giving a long continuity of interest. There are six distinct gardens at Bressingham with a remarkable total of over 8,000 species.
