 Description of Garden
Designer:
This is one of the outstanding woodland gardens, extending over 100 acres, in the British Isles; the result of the 19th century plant hunting expeditions and including the famous 'Williamsii' camellias that still thrive here. Many wonderful old specimens of rhododendrons and magnolias are to be found in the woods, often featuring huge flowers. Here are more than 35 record-breaking trees.
 History of Garden
Informal woodland garden created by J.C Williams who sponsored plant hunting expeditions to China at the turn of the 19th century. Noted for Camellias, Magnolias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
